TheAcademy.com and Agency Training: The Ultimate Business Relationship - 06.18.08

The Academy.com is a web-based vendor who hosts the ARC Specialist online training and testing for the Agency Training Program. Their office is located in San Antonio, TX. The relationship between ARC and TheAcademy.com was established at the very beginning of the program, once known as the Certified ARC Specialist Program back in 1997. I can remember once talking to the Dennis Boyce, who originally started the program. He said that our program and our customers were very unique and TheAcademy.com was always able to accommodate our business needs as well as our customers by providing an online training tool that our customers could utilize at their convenience.

That very fact is why our relationship has continued to grow thus far. ARC had always emphasized the importance of going electronic and we realized that we needed to take things a step further in that direction. We shared that information with TheAcademy.com and decided that online testing was necessary because classroom training was not always feasible for our customers and Prometric (Sylvan) testing centers were not always a reliable and easily accessible testing choice. They understood exactly what we needed and went above and beyond to make sure that needs were met in a timely manner. In October 2005, we launched the ARC Specialist Online Training and Testing Program. Now our customers can take both the training and test at their convenience! The transition was very challenging but we worked through it together to come up with a very reliable and convenient product for our customers.

I can safely predict that as long as the ARC Specialist Program exists, our business relationship with TheAcademy.com will exist as well. As we think of new ways to raise revenue for the company, TheAcademy.com is right there at our side to assist us along the way. Just recently, TheAcademy.com launched our new optional training product, Memo Manager for agents and carriers. As always, they did a fantastic job with the product promotion, graphics and design and material content.

My eight years of working with TheAcademy.com have been great! I had the pleasure of visiting them at their San Antonio office in December 2006 for a business meeting. They extended such a warm welcome and everyone in the office was so nice and pleasant. It is a privilege to work with great people who are experts in their field. That is why I feel that ARC and TheAcademy.com have the “ultimate business relationship”!
